ABOUT

Emily Olerud is a Connecticut-based author, where she lives with her husband Eric. She graduated summa cum laude from Central Connecticut State University, earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Studies & Infant/Toddler Mental Health as well as several distinctions for profound community service and scholarly excellence. Studying the psychology of children and the endless variety of human experiences has lent her a keen, cross-cultural perspective on the dynamism of family units.

Ahead of her debut novel ANATHEMA, Emily knew she wanted to write about the beautiful, emotional, and often inconvenient and awkward dynamics of human nature. People are messy, nobody is perfect, and being somewhat of a disaster is part of the cruel reality of being alive. Emily uses her platform to encourage others to be OK with that and to love one another anyway.
